MoDOT: Pavement sampling to impact travel on Providence Road and Stadium Blvd.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will have crews pulling samples of concrete along Stadium Blvd. and Providence Road beginning Sunday night.

MoDOT crews will be core drilling on Stadium Blvd. Sunday night between Providence Road and College Ave. starting at 8 p.m. Then on Monday beginning at 8 a.m. work will continue on the Providence Road Bonne Femme Creek bridge til 3 p.m.

Officials say drivers will be down to one lane as crews take samples of the roadway for evaluation.

Drivers will be guided through the work zone by flagging crews.

Pavement specialists with MoDOT will analyze the cores drilled for the structural integrity of the roadway and determine if any improvements are needed.
