Tracking a loud front knocking us back to normal

warm windy wet

FRIDAY: It’s getting active as we shut the door on another work week. Some fog will be moving north throughout the morning, so plan on a slower commute as you head out the door. Temperatures will be on the warm side, despite added cloud cover with highs in the mid to upper 60’s. Some quick-moving showers will enter the picture around lunchtime and will depart towards the late afternoon hours.

TONIGHT: Our strong frontal system will start to move through this evening. As it does, we’ll be tracking the potential for a few rogue storms to fire just ahead of it in the 7-10 PM timeframe. Anything that gets up and going then will need to be monitored for damaging winds and some hail, but most of that will stay to our southeast. As the front moves through, winds will pick up, gusting to 35 mph, as temperatures fall into the low 30’s by sunrise.

EXTENDED: We’re stuck in the cold on Saturday with highs only making it into the upper 40’s with the sunshine returning. The bright skies stick around to close out the weekend as we start another warming trend, pushing into the middle 50’s. Temperatures will top out in the low 60’s on Monday and step up into the upper 60’s to low 70’s Tuesday and Wednesday. Our next shot at rain moves in later in the day Wednesday as a frontal boundary pushes in and could give us a few shots at rain to end the week.
