St. Louis airport name change now official
If you are flying out of St. Louis after January 2017, you might notice a change in the name of your airport.
The Mayor and the St. Louis Board of Aldermen gave final approval Wednesday to re-name, what is now commonly known as Lambert Field to St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The proposed change was approved by the St. Louis Airport Commission last month.
The airport will continue to operate under its current name, Lambert-St.Louis International Airport through January.
