Chicago man arrested in Mexico, Missouri for prescription fraud

An employee at a Mexico pharmacy reported a suspicious phone call on Tuesday, where it seemed like someone was trying to obtain prescription medication without a valid prescription.

Mexico authorities arrested 20-year-old Nicholas G. Williams-Turner of Chicago for fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance. Mexico officials and the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs say that Williams-Turner and his accomplices would illegally obtain controlled substances from pharmacies in small towns throughout Iowa, Illinois and Missouri.

Williams-Turner was booked at MDPS and taken to the Audrain County Jail for fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance.
