Amber Alert issued for missing Liberty girl has been cancelled

UPDATE 12:52 p.m.: Morris has been found safe, and the suspect is in custody.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Liberty Police Department has issued an Amber Alert for a child abduction that occurred Monday morning at Sarah Lane in Liberty, Missouri.

The victim, Amiya Morris, is a 13-year-old black female. She is 5′ 3″, 105 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes, and a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a tan tank top, dark blue leggings and black and pink Nike flip-flops.

The suspect’s vehicle is a blue 2012 Toyota Camry bearing Missouri DS17X, last seen leaving Sarah Lane at 5:30 a.m. Monday morning. The suspect is believed to be Nicholas Bejarano, a 38-year-old Hispanic male who is six feet tall and is 160 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a brown complexion. The suspect has tattoos on his neck and “NAB” on his fingers, and was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, red shorts, and multi-colored women’s slippers.
