Vehicle hits 13-year-old crossing street in Jefferson City
A 13-year-old is hospitalized this morning after she was hit by a car while crossing the street.
Jefferson City police say it happened just after 7:00 Monday morning at the intersection of East High Street and Cherry Street.
A crash report says a driver was traveling eastbound on East High Street when its front end struck the teen, who was apparently crossing the intersection southbound.
Police say the teen was taken to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
It’s unclear if anyone will face charges in the incident.
