Woman crashes into utility pole in Cole County

A 26 year old woman is in serious condition after crashing into a utility pole in Cole County.

The driver, Stephen Whelan, failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the side of the road.The passenger, Victoria Petrie, is in serious condition.

The car was driving northbound on Wardsville Road near Tyler Ridge Road in Cole County.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt, the passenger Victoria Petrie was not.
