Two men charged for involvement in Bodie Drive shooting

Monterio Truss and Barron Thompson have been charged in reference to the shooting on Bodie Drive in August.

According to court documents, officers responded to Bodie Drive around 1:30 a.m. on August 28. Police say the victims told them they were standing outside when three men started shooting at them.

The women went inside the home and were not injured. Officers found bullet holes in one of the cars parked out front.

Victims identified Truss and Thompson as two of the shooters. One victim told police Truss threatened her earlier that night when she was downtown. Police said Truss allegedly pointed a gun at the female victim during that incident.

Truss, who turned 17 the day before the shooting, is expected to make his first court appearance Thursday afternoon in Boone County Court.

Thompson, 19, and Truss were both charged with two counts of assault.
