Man shot after threatening officers sentenced

A California, MO man, who threatened officers and was shot by a Callaway County deputy last year has been sentenced.

Last December, Callaway county deputies were called to a disturbance east of Jefferson City where a gunshot was reported. When officers arrived, 28 year-old Joshua Huddleston refused to follow commands by officers, and moved toward them in an aggressive manner, forcing a deputy to shoot him.

Huddleston was charged with unlawful use of a weapon motivated by discrimination, and unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated. According to online court records, Huddleston received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years of supervised probation.
