Tuesday evening, October 11
TONIGHT: Clouds will increase ahead of the next storm system to bring a chance of showers & t-storms overnight as they develop in western Missouri after midnight and spread east into the morning hours. No severe storms are expected. Temperatures will stay mild with lows in the lower 60s and a south breeze up to 10 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Temperatures will reach near 70 with scattered showers and t-storms likely ahead of a cold front. These will gradually shift to the southeast to near I-44 by 10 PM. There is a marginal severe risk in the afternoon and early evening mainly south of I-70 for possible strong wind gusts or 1″ hail. Rainfall amounts of .25″ to .75″ are likely with local amounts up to 1″ possible.
EXTENDED: Chilly conditions return after the front passes with lows overnight Wednesday dropping to the mid-upper 30s north of I-70 and low 40s south. Frost is possible by Thursday morning. Thursday looks mostly sunny and cool with high temperatures only touching near 60 with a light northerly breeze. Another chance of showers moves in Thursday night and Friday south of I-70 with high temperatures reaching the lower 60s Friday.
