Friday Morning October 7

TODAY: Morning showers end east of HWY 63 through 8AM with clouds clearing through the day. A cold front moves through this morning bringing chilly temperatures to areas west of US 63, possibly dropping to the upper 40s for the morning commute, while areas east will stay in the low 60s/upper 50s. We’ll see descending temperatures throughout the day as clouds clear with a north/northwesterly wind under 12 mph.

TONIGHT: It will be cool, fall night and dry for high school football games with temperatures falling through the 50s in the evening hours. If winds become light enough, under 5 mph, we’ll need to watch for patchy fog late and early Saturday morning.

EXTENDED: After a cool morning, Saturday afternoon will be mild with high temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 with sunny skies and light winds. Winds will shift to the south Sunday, bringing afternoon temperatures up into the lower 70s under mostly sunny skies. Monday looks to bring a slight rain chance to areas north of I-70 as a weak disturbance zips through bringing light rainfall. We’ll watch for a slight rain chance again on Wednesday, but next weeks rain looks to be minimal at this time. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
