Man dies after crash in northwestern Boone County

UPDATE 9/14, 10:00 PM: The Missouri State Highway Patrol has confirmed the man who was involved in Tuesday’s motorcycle crash has died.

ORIGINAL STORY: A man was flown to the hospital after crashing his motorcycle around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

It happened just north of Harrisburg at Route T and Route F, about 30 minutes north of Columbia.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 48-year-old Robert Chase of Clark lost control of his bike and was thrown when he reached the road’s curve.

Chase’s injuries were serious when he was life-flighted to University Hospital.

A head-on crash happened on this road just weeks ago.
