Early morning shooting in Pulaski County leaves one in the hospital

A early morning dispute in Pulaski County leaves one person in the hospital.

Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department confirms around 6:00 a.m., two men were disputing. One man ended up shooting the other.

The incident occured in the 28000 block of highway NN, in the Laquey area. According to a witness, the shooting happened around 6:00 a.m. but the sheriff’s department wasn’t called until two hours later.

The suspect and witness attempted to give the victim first aid, but once law enforcement arrived the victim was flown to a trauma center. He is listed in critical condition.

Sheriff’s department was able to arrest the suspected shooter without incident before 9:00 a.m.. He is currently being held in the Pulaski County Jail, while investigators are awaiting a arrest warrant to be issued for him.
