Portion of Highway FF renamed in honor of late Trooper Bava

A portion of Highway FF in Audrain county will be dedicated to a fallen Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper Monday. It will be remainedTrooper James M. Bava Memorial Highway.

Trooper James Bava was killed in the line of duty in a traffic crash one year ago today.

He was the 31st trooper to die in the line of duty.

The dedication ceremony will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the ball fields on the northeast corner of Highway FF and South Elmwood Drive in Mexico.

The bill establishing the memorial goes into effect today.
