Holts Summit man charged for sending inappropriate pictures to teens

William Thompson, 27, of Holts Summit, was charged Tuesday in Callaway County with four counts of furnishing pornographic material to a minor for allegedly sending inappropriate pictures to teenage girls on Facebook.

According to court documents, Thompson admitted to investigators he sent pornographic images to an estimated 200 girls between the ages of 14 and 18 through Facebook messaging.

At least four reported incidents happened between November 8 and December 19 of 2015.

During interviews with Thompson, Callaway County investigators learned he had four different Facebook profiles under the name “Joey Thompson.”

Deputies said after searching Thompson’s Facebook profile, they found private messages between Thompson and teenage girls in which he was sending pictures of his penis.

In Missouri, furnishingpornographic material to a minor is a Class A misdemeanor. If found guilty, Thompson could face up to a year in jail and up to a $1,000 fine.
