Moberly businesses warned about credit card fraud

The Moberly Police Department was investigating reports of credit card fraud Tuesday night.

The agency said it has taken several complaints from businesses in the area. It advises other area businesses to not take credit cards over the phone nor online.

Police want stores to ask for an ID and verify the customer’s signature with the name on the card.
