Tracking a frigid night followed by a weekend warm up

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the low to mid-20s.

TOMORROW: Breezy and a bit warmer with clouds increasing and highs in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: Winds die down with a strong high pressure centered over the area, allowing lows to fall into the mid-20s. Clouds filter back in tomorrow and winds pick up from the south sending our highs back into the low 50s. With clouds sticking around into Saturday, it's above freezing to start the weekend with a mild afternoon in the upper 50s. By Sunday, we'll be tracking a cold front that brings a few showers to eastern and southeast Missouri in the morning, with cooler temperatures by afternoon for the rest of the area. Behind this system it's much cooler Sunday night and Monday, starting out in the mid-20s and warming into the low 40s. Tuesday and Wednesday are looking dry and mild in the 50s, but there could be a front move through the region late Wednesday into Thursday. Rain chances are looking slim with this as there won't be a lot of moisture to work with, but we'll drop into the mid-40s on Thanksgiving Day.
