Callaway County man arrested, charged for statutory rape

The Callaway County prosecutor’s office has charged a Fulton man with sex crimes involving a minor.

Nicholas Robinson, 33, was arrested Monday; he faces six counts of statutory sodomy and one count of statutory rape for alleged crimes which happened between November 2012 and December 2014. The victim in the case was between the ages of 8 and 11 during that time.

Deputies began investigating in early June after a tip was called into the state child abuse and neglect hotline (you can find those phone numbers here). According to court documents, the victim told police Robinson touched her and had her touch him in a sexual manner.

After his arrest Monday, Robinson reportedly admitted to the sexual contact with the victim. Authorities have not revealed how Robinson and the victim may have known each other.

Robinson is at the Callaway County jail being held without bond.
