Home Depot sales surge in hot housing market

Home Depot’s sales were still climbing in the third quarter, as demand for its home improvements products continues. Revenue rose 9.8% to $36.82 billion. Analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research forecast $34.97 billion. Sales at stores open at least a year, a key gauge of a retailer’s health, increased 6.1%. In the U.S., the metric climbed 5.5%.
