Crews respond to reported fire on Dodd Road in northern Boone County

ABC 17 News talked to crews at the scene of a fire off Dodd Road, near Highways 124 and 63 just north of Columbia.

Fire and medical officials responded to the fire at 9:36 Monday morning. According to dispatch reports, 17 different units went to the scene, including three fire engines and an ambulance.

ABC 17 confirmed with firefighters they have a good idea about where it started around the two-car garage, but they are still working to find out what exactly sparked the flames. Two dogs might have died, but no one was home at the time and nobody was hurt. The entire house is considered a complete loss.
