Search on West Bethany Drive connected to teen’s death
UPDATE 7/28 11 a.m. :ABC17 has been able to confirm with police they were on West Bethany Drive to carry out a search warrant in connection to Wednesday night’s homicide.
ABC 17 News viewers reported seeing several law enforcement in the 4000 block of West Bethany Drive in southwest Columbia Thursday morning.
ABC 17 News saw two Columbia police cars and one Boone County Sheriff’s Department vehicle. A crime scene unit was also at the scene.
One officer and one deputy were reportedly standing guard at the door of the home.
ABC 17 News later got court documents claiming the driver of the suspect vehicle, Jadarius Sanders, 18, drove someone there to hide the gun that was used to kill Marquez D. Reed, 17.
