Tracking another windy but colder day

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear and cold with lows in the upper 30s. Wind gusts up to 25 mph, bringing the wind chill into the upper 20s overnight.

TOMORROW: Increasing clouds with gusty winds. Highs in the low 40s with wind chills in the mid-30s. A few flurries possible by late afternoon.

EXTENDED: Unfortunately, strong winds stick around overnight into Friday and we'll lose a lot of the leaves on the trees that were holding on for a bit longer this week. Winds gust to 25 mph overnight, but with clearing skies we'll fall down into the upper 30s overnight. The wind chill falls in the 25-30 degree range through the morning, but with air temperatures only making the low 40s tomorrow the afternoon will feel like the mid-30s. A weak clipper system will send a cold front through the area from the north, bringing more cloud cover and a chance of some very light precipitation. My gut tells me it will be too dry in the lowest levels of the atmosphere to get much of this to the ground, but if it does we could see a few sprinkles or even a few flurries depending on the time of day. Clouds clear out Friday night, bringing lows down into the upper 20s. Expect more sunshine and calmer winds on Saturday, but it stays chilly in the lower 40s for highs through late afternoon. Sunday will feature more clouds and a chance for a few showers early in the day. We close out the weekend in the upper 40s on Sunday afternoon. Next week is looking more mild as we get back into the low to mid-60s before our next mid-week system that brings showers and a few rumbles of thunder Wednesday into Thursday. On the other side of that we cool back down into the 40s for highs.
