9th and Elm in downtown Columbia set to close Monday morning

Columbia Public Works announced that 9th and Elm will be closed starting Monday morning at 7 a.m.

Brinkmann constructors plan to install sanitary and storm sewers to help move the construction of the new Rise Apartments along.

This will also close the intersection of 9th and Locust.

Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes if they use 9th and Elm frequently.

The construction is set to end July 22nd at 6 p.m.
