Officers from the Jefferson City Police Department responded to a motorcycle crash in the 2100 block of Lorenzo Green Dr. Friday night.

Police said the driver was traveling on Lorenzo Green Dr. southbound at a high speed, which caused the driver to lose control and slide on the roadway.

The driver continued to slide on the roadway after being ejected from the motorcycle.

The driver was not wearing a helmet and was transported by a Staff for Life helicopter to the University of Missouri hospital.

As of Saturday evening, hospital officials said the driver, Joshua Shelton, was in fair condition.
