Two arrested in Callaway County drug bust

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office worked with the MUSTANG drug task force to serve two search warrants that led to two arrests Friday.

A drug-related search warrant was served in the 4200 block of Dean Place near Millersburg. Several items including meth and drug paraphernalia were found. A Honda Rancher four wheeler that was reported stolen was also found during the search.

The Sheriff’s Office and MUSTANG followed up on leads and served another search warrant at a storage facility in Auxvasse where more stolen items were recovered.

Daniel B. Smith, 38, of Harrisburg was arrested on a no bond parole warrant for previous charges of distribution of a controlled substance near public housing or a school, resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine precursor, two counts of resisting arrest, and driving while revoked.

William “Billy” Hathman, 28, of Ashland was arrested on a $5,000.00 cash only Boone County probation violation warrant for a previous assault charge.
