One-year-old airlifted to hospital after Callaway County crash
UPDATE: According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a one-year-old child was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition. The 33-year-old driver was treated at the scene.
Route H in Callaway County is back open following a crash just before 10:00 a.m. Monday.
The crash happened west of County Road 305 and involved an SUV which overturned. Emergency crews blocked off the road temporarily to allow a Staff for Life helicopter from University Hospital to land.
Two people were in the SUV; officials haven’t commented on the nature or severity of any injuries. They also haven’t said how the crash happened, but one trooper told our crew at the scene it’s not uncommon for people to speed through the area.
