Columbia woman arrested for burglary and assault

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department was called to the 500 block of Waldo Court around 5 p.m. Sunday for reports of a disturbance.

Deputies said Tiffany Rivera, 32, was at a home looking for someone she knew and was refusing to leave the area.

Rivera was reportedly knocking on the door and then forced her way inside when a woman opened the door.

Authorities said Rivera knocked the woman down the stairs, hit her and then left the home.

Deputies arrested Rivera shortly after. She’s facing charges of first degree burglary and third degree assault.
