Two Columbia residents lead deputies on a pursuit after robbing a business

Around 2 a.m. Saturday Boone County Sheriff’s Department responded to a robbery call at a business located at the 6400 block of West Highway 40.

An employee of the business called 911 after saying they were robbed by a man and a woman. The woman showed a knife, and threatened the employee with it. The male suspect was reportedly armed with a gun.

A deputy saw a vehicle that was driving by that matched the man, and womans description. The deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, but the male driver refused to stop.
