Typical July weekend, storm chance for some

A cold front moved south Friday into southern Missouri, with slightly cooler and drier air moving in behind it. This front will be nearly stationary in southern Missouri this weekend, keeping the best storm chances south. However, there is a chance a few storms could develop as far north as the Lake of the Ozarks both Saturday and Sunday afternoon with a marginal threat for severe storms Sunday near I-44. Isolated damaging winds are the main threat.

Temperatures will drop to near 70 at night and reach the upper 80s during the day both Saturday and Sunday with heat indices only reaching the low 90s due to lower humidity. Winds will come in from the east to southeast, staying under 10 mph through the weekend.
