Holts Summit neighborhood hit with burglaries

Holts Summit residents reached out to ABC 17 News Thursday after several car burglaries in their neighborhood.

One resident said the burglaries have been happening on Halifax Road and that someone stole cash from his wallet.

Another resident, Brent Newton, said a thief made a mess of his car.

Newton said, “I just got out this morning and looked into my pickup and saw papers scattered all through it and opened the door . They had taken the console, emptied the console, took the glove box, emptied the glove box.”

ABC 17 News has made calls to the Holts Summit Police Department about what they’re seeing in the area. As of Thursday evening, our calls have not yet been returned.
