Tracking a warm start to the week

Tonight: Winds out of the southwest tonight will keep Central Missouri slightly above the average overnight low to 42 degrees. Sky conditions will remain mostly clear. Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight before bed for fall daylight saving.

Tomorrow: Sunday looks to be a warm day with continuing southwesterly flowing winds at 8-12 mph with gusts into the lower '20s. Sunny sky conditions will lead to a beautiful afternoon with a high of 69 degrees.

Extended: Temperatures continue to warm on Monday and Tuesday as a high-pressure system ushers in more southerly flowing winds with highs back into the lower 70s. By Wednesday morning, an approaching low-pressure system will bring with it increased widespread chances of rain that will last into the early morning hours on Thursday. Temperatures will then fall thanks to the passing cold front with winds switching from the north leading to highs back into the mid-'40s heading into the weekend
