Marginal Severe Threat Thursday

Dew points are expected to rise back to the upper 60s by Thursday, making for more muggy conditions. Thunderstorms on Thursday evening look possible to produce damaging winds. The storms with the strongest updrafts may also have large hail possible. There will be enough moisture in the atmosphere for storms to produce heavy rainfall with highest totals from 0.50″ to 1″ in southwest Mid-Missouri near the Lake of the Ozarks, Versailles, and Warsaw. Areas from US 63 and west are under the Marginal Risk for Thursday. It looks like there will be a chance for storms overnight Thursday and into Friday, while the lack of instability in the overnight hours with lessen the severe threat overnight.
