Driver dies after wreck Friday morning in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Versailles man has died after a one-vehicle wreck on Route W in Morgan County Friday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Ronald Weicken was driving a 2014 Freightliner on Route W when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road during a curve. The vehicle hit a sign and concrete bridge support before overturning.

A Morgan County coroner pronounced the Weicken dead at the scene.

Weicken was wearing a seatbelt.

This is the first fatal crash in November for troop F and the 51st death in 2021.
