Marginal Threat for Severe Weather Thursday & Friday

Thursday evening will bring a threat for storms that could produce damaging winds over 58 mph and large hail 1″ in diameter or greater. Areas in southwest Mid-Missouri including the counties of Benton, Morgan, and Camden, look to get the higher rainfall totals, where amounts of .50″ to 0.75″ is possible. The tornado threat however is low for the end of the week. The timing of Thursday looks to be from 4PM-11PM with the strongest storms.

Friday morning there will be a small thunderstorm chance for areas west of US 63 by 9AM. Late day storms look possible where this front stalls south of I-70, bringing a Marginal Threat again after 3PM. Any thunderstorms however look to end through 9PM-10PM Friday night.

Saturday will bring a small thunderstorm chance, while Sunday looks to bring storms in the evening hours. We’ll need to watch for possible heavy rainfall Sunday night along with a Marginal Threat for Sunday. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
