Interim UM system president to deliver state of the university address

Interim University of Missouri system President Mike Middleton is scheduled to give his state of the university address Friday.

A representative from the university tells ABC 17 News interim President Mike Middleton will address what he called, an eventful year for the UM system.

Middleton was also expected to highlight some of the progress made on the issues that led to protests last fall.

Middleton will also talk about the research that the university system conducts and the economic impact the four campuses have for the state of Missouri.

A university spokesperson says despite the issues on the Mizzou campus last year, the university system has been and still is an asset to the state.

Today is also the second and final day of the University of Missouri board of curator’s annual meeting. They’re scheduled to discuss the MU health system.
