Man wanted for felony warrant on run after chase in Holts Summit

The search has been called off, other than routine patrols of the area. The suspect is identified and there is no known direct threat to the community. Deputies will seek felony resisting arrest charges against the suspect.

A man wanted for a felony warrant remained on the run Monday after leading deputies on a chase.

It happened just before 3:00 Monday afternoon while aCallaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling State Road AA near Holts Summit in southern Callaway County.

During the patrol, the deputy apparently saw a 43 year old male who he knew was wanted on a felony Callaway County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of meth.

As the deputy attempted to talk to the subject, the man allegedly ran off, prompting a lengthy chase.

Deputies say the man lead them into the city limits of Holts Summit off East Simon Boulevard.

They say the subject was not taken into custody, but say they don’t believe he is an imminent threat to the community.

The Holts Summit Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol helped in the chase.
