Debris in roadway closes I-70 east of Columbia
ABC 17 News confirmed construction debris closed I-70 eastbound at one point Friday afternoon near the Lake of the Woods exit.
Cars were diverted on the side of the road during the clean-up operations, first reported around 3:40 p.m. There were heavy delays in the area, with traffic backing up for a couple miles past the connector.
It appeared a vehicle trailer had jack-knifed, spilling lumber and bags on concrete onto the roadway.
