Teenager found after being reported missing in Pulaski County

UPDATE: The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Michael Thorsen was found in good health Wednesday evening.

ORIGINAL: Pulaski County deputies are asking for the public’s help finding 16-year-old Michael Thorsen, who has been missing since Monday.

According to Pulaski County Sheriff Ron Long, Thorsen told his parents he was in the Richland area Monday evening, and would not be returning home. Long says Thorsen has run away several times before, and has a tendency to get in touch with relatives and friends who try to get him to participate in “illicit activities.”

Long says Thorsen left home of his own free will, and has contacted several people as of Wednesday morning. Thorsen is presumed to be safe at the moment, but Long says his family worries for his safety if he does get in touch with certain family members.

If you have information about Thorson’s location or activities, call the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department at (573) 774-6196.
