Marginal Severe Threat Friday Night

A Marginal Threat for Severe Thunderstorms exists tonight with an approaching cold front bringing strong to severe storms in the northwest part of the state. Storms look to move in late from 9PM-12AM in far northwest Missouri and moving into areas near HWY 65 including Macon and Chariton counties from 12AM-3AM. Storms at this time could still bring the threat of damaging 60 mph winds or large hail to these areas. As storms will likely track southeast early tomorrow, these will likely lose intensity by daybreak Saturday near I-70. Storms will be possible for the first part of the day Saturday before 6AM.
