Protesters block traffic after Trump rally

Hundreds of protesters continued to block off traffic and scuffle with Donald Trump supporters after the candidate’s rally in San Jose Thursday night.

According to the Associated Press (AP), police kept their distance throughout the evening and did not get involved with the protesters marching in the streets outside the San Jose Convention Center.

At least a dozen fights broke out, and some protesters, according to the AP, grabbed Trump hats and attempted to burn them. They also banged on supporter’s cars trying to leave the rally.

Police declared the gathering an unlawful assembly about 30 minutes after the rally ended, but had not made any arrests as of 11:20 p.m. CST.
