Holts Summit names new City Administrator

Holts Summit has chosen a new City Administrator. Bruce “Rick” Hess will fill the position left open from February when former administrator Brian Crane resigned. Crane has accepted a new position with the City of Moberly.

Hess has been Battlefield, Missouri’s City Administrator for the past 8 years. Prior to that, he served in the Transportation Security Administration for the Iowa Regional Airport. He also served in the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Iowa National Guard. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration, and he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration.

Holts Summit Mayor Landon Oxley said, “We are very fortunate to get someone of Mr. Hess’s caliber and experience. He has a vision that is well suited to what we have envisioned for the City of Holts Summit. On behalf of the City, I want to welcome Mr. Hess and say that we all look forward to working with him.”

Hess will start his new position on July 5th.
