Iowa man seriously hurt in boating crash at Lake of the Ozarks
An Iowa man was recovering Friday after he suffered serious injuries in a boating crash in Camden County.
The boat happened Thursday night around 10:45 at the Lake of the Ozarks near the13.5 mile marker in the main channel.
Missouri State Highway Patrol crash records say 47-year-old Timothy Dietiker failed to navigate around a land mass in the lake and ran the boat he was driving aground on an island.
The patrol Lake Ozark Fire took Dietiker to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment of serious injuries he suffered in the crash.
The crash apparently totaled the boat. The patrol said Dietiker was wearing a life vest at the time of the crash.
