Jefferson City police investigating shooting that left vehicle damaged

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City police arrested one person after a shooting on the 800 block of Clark Avenue Wednesday evening.

Officers responded to the area after receiving reports of shots fired. Police found multiple casings and a vehicle with numerous holes in it. Police say no one was injured.

The owner of the vehicle reported a possible suspect, and police started searching for the suspect.

During the investigation, police found and arrested the suspect on the 100 block of North Ventura. During a search of the vehicle, police reportedly found a gun underneath the driver’s seat.

According to the release, the suspect admitted shooting the victim’s vehicle due to an ongoing dispute.

Officials say the suspect is being held at the Cole County Jail.
