Two people charged after drug bust in Eldon
ELDON, Mo. (KMIZ)
Two people are charged in Miller County following a drug bust in Eldon last week.
According to court documents obtained by ABC 17 News, law enforcement officers arrested Anthony Mitchell, 43, and Adrienne Edington, 28, on Oct. 19 at a home on North Tedmark Avenue.
The Eldon Police Department said officers responded to the home to help the Missouri Department of Probation and Parole with an uncooperative client.
Edington was arrested after she was found sitting on a syringe loaded with methamphetamine, according to the probable cause statement.
Police said 64 fentanyl pills and other drug paraphernalia were found in the home.
According to the Miller County Sheriff's Office, Mitchell admitted to having marijuana and the loaded syringe of meth but denied ownership of the pills.
Deputies said he admitted during an interview with them to selling and planning to use meth with Edington before the drug bust.
Edington denied owning 54 of the pills, according to court documents. Deputies said she admitted to giving fentanyl pills to five people.
Mitchell and Edington are charged with the delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Edington is also charged with an additional felony count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Court hearings are scheduled for Friday morning for Mitchell and Edington.
