Two arrested after burglary south of Fulton

Deputies in Callaway County have arrested two people for a burglary south of Fulton. On Thursday, authorities went to a home on County Road 403 for reports of a break-in and theft of items inside and outside the building.

On Friday, following up on leads, deputies contacted Kenneth Allen and Jennifer Ritter, and reported finding some of the stolen items with them. Other stolen items were later found at homes in Fulton and near New Bloomfield. Deputies further reported finding narcotics on both Allen and Ritter.

Allen, 25, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, stealing, and possession of a controlled substance. Ritter, 25, was arrested for burglary, stealing, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office says their investigation into this burglary, as well as other thefts in the area, is ongoing, and more arrests may be forthcoming.
