One man sent to hospital after Saturday afternoon crash

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a a single car crash in northern Boone County Saturday afternoon on Route B.

The crash happened just after 3 p.m. near Low Crossing Road outside of Hallsville.

The driver told troopers he was choking on a piece of food, which caused him to pass out and drive off the road.

The Highway Patrol said he only suffered minor injuries and went to the hospital on his own.

No one else was in the truck at the time of the crash.
