Residents on Scott Blvd are concerned about safety

More than 50 crashes were reported on Scott Blvd between 2013 and 2016.

Residents in that area have told us speeding is always a problem on Scott Blvd.

However, one resident that ABC 17 spoke with said speeding is a problem, but a bigger concern is that there aren’t enough cross walks in the area for pedestrians to use. Specifically at Bethany and Scott is where a school bus drops students off, but with no cross walk the students in the bus are running across the street with heavy and fast traffic.

When our crews were on the scene, there weren’t any nearby cross walks for pedestrians to use.

Donna Lester told ABC 17 that she knows it’s a difficult cross street to try and fix but believes that by at least adding some pedestrian signs ahead on the hills could help.
