Crews save cat, dog from Ohio Street fire

ABC 17 News confirmed flames were contained to a living room, after firefighters save two pets in Jefferson City.

Crews responded around 5:15 p.m. Thursday to 608 Ohio Street, just north of Missouri Boulevard. They found smoke pouring from an open door, which also left damage throughout the rest of the house.

Firefighters rescued a dog and a cat, and everyone else made it out safely. No one was hurt.

The cause remains under investigation.
