Central Missouri United Way kicks off campaign

The United Way of Central Missouri kicked off its annual fundraising campaign Tuesday morning, announcing the theme “Rockin’ the 80s.”

“Determining the theme of the campaign is a critical process by the creative volunteers whoserve on our United Way Marketing Committee. The theme plays an important role in settingthe tone for the campaign,” says Ann Bax, United Way of Central Missouri President/CPO.”Last year’s theme Changing Reality was fun, but more importantly the theme was veryrelevant to the role United Way and our partner agencies play in the community. In true UnitedWay of Central Missouri fashion, this year’s theme will also have that fun component but will speak to the important work of the United Way and our agencies.”

This year, the agency is partnering with more than 25 organizations including the Heart of Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross, The Boys and Girls Club of the Capital City and theCouncil for Drug Free Youth.

The United Way of Central Missouri did not announce their fundraising goal.
