A steady southeasterly flow over the weekend paired with high pressure and lots of sunshine allowed temperatures to sky rocket on Sunday throughout the Mississippi Valley Region. Columbia Regional Airport observed a daytime high of 80 degrees. Marshall and Mexico both reported a balmy temperature of 81 degrees. Jefferson City saw a similarly warm day, with a reported high temperature of 80 degrees like Columbia.
