Sunday’s Weather Brought Eighty-Degree Temperatures for Mid-Missouri
A steady southeasterly flow over the weekend paired with high pressure and lots of sunshine allowed temperatures to sky rocket on Sunday throughout the Mississippi Valley Region. Columbia Regional Airport observed a daytime high of 80 degrees. Marshall and Mexico both reported a balmy temperature of 81 degrees. Jefferson City saw a similarly warm day, with a reported high temperature of 80 degrees like Columbia.
The last time Columbia saw temperatures this warm was on October 22nd of last year. Indeed, these temperatures are well above average. For this time in April, typical temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s.
